Production process:


A preparation method for Methyl Octabromoether comprising the following steps:


(1) Add tetrabromobisphenol A to water for dissolution, with a molar ratio of 2:1 between water and tetrabromobisphenol A. Adjust the pH value with sodium hydroxide to 8, and perform the first insulation. Then, add a methylallyl chloride organic solution dropwise, add a phase transfer catalyst, and perform the second insulation after dropwise addition. Then, cool to room temperature, layer, and take the organic layer.


(2) Dissolve the brominating agent in an organic solvent to obtain a brominating agent solution. Add the above organic layer to the catalyst and add the brominating agent solution dropwise for bromination reaction. The molar ratio of the brominating agent to tetrabromobisphenol A is 2:1, and the third insulation is carried out at a temperature of 25-55 ℃. Then, add sodium sulfite aqueous solution for reaction. After the reaction, wash with water, still layer, and add the lower organic layer to the aqueous solution of the emulsifier for distillation, Remove organic solvents, filter to obtain materials, dry, and prepare products.


The molar ratio of methylallyl chloride to tetrabromobisphenol A is 1.8:1. The phase transfer catalyst is tetrabutylammonium bromide, and the molar ratio of the phase transfer catalyst to tetrabromobisphenol A is 0.5:5. The brominating agent is tribromotetrabutylammonium bromide, the organic solvent is dichloromethane, and the mass ratio of the brominating agent to the organic solvent is 1:1. The catalyst is a mixture of hydrobromic acid and sodium bromide, with a molar ratio of 1.5:1 and a mass ratio of 0.5:10 between the catalyst and the organic layer. The conditions for the first insulation are 100 ℃, 0.5-1h, with the aim of removing oxygen from the water. The conditions for the second insulation are 60 ℃, 1-2h, and a substitution reaction is carried out. The time for the third insulation is 35 ℃, 1-3 hours. The mass fraction of the sodium sulfite aqueous solution is 5%. The emulsifier is OP-10, with a dosage of 1wt% of water and 0.5wt% of organic layer.


The obtained product Methyl Octabromoether is a white powder with a purity of 99.0% and a thermal decomposition temperature of 325 ℃.
